The Brief - To design a fast e-commerce site which could cope with over 10,000 products and 70,000 pages while improving their customer conversion rate.

The Method -

Using Datadial's e-commerce software, we created the new website and content management system which were speed tested to allow 10,000 users per second.  These were designed to be both user and search engine friendly.

Implemented mouse tracking software.  From this we learn about their customers' web behaviour while they are on the site and can make appropriate changes in order to increase conversion rates. 

Due to the high volume of products on the site, Datadial incorporated a 'search' facility to help with usability. Users can search by car make, model and type.

A fresh design was applied to their email communications in order to 'take it up a gear' (sorry, but we couldn't resist the pun)

Key achievements -

In the first six months of going live, sales increased by 300%.

Traffic to the site doubled in the first six months with a significant improvement on conversion rate.

Despite the number of products to search through, Datadial managed to maintain an excellent level of speed for the product display.

The client is able to easily update their site by using the bespoke content management system.

Through close monitoring of the site we are able to continuously make tweaks according to customer behaviour in order to improve the conversion rate.  We are planning to introduce an 'advanced search' facility which will offer more results for customers based on popularity, appropriateness and availability.
