To test the debate as to whether Google actually crawls links from nofollowed links I've set up this test. This page is linked to from a single nofollowed internal link on our site, and will have no external links to it.
I'll check the raw server logs to see if/when Google accesses the page. If this does show up in the server log this is proof that Google does crawl nofollowed links
