Datadial prides itself on its ability to provide fully functional websites that require the user to manage their site content and settings. We are always innovating and old techniques are re-evaluated each time to produce the most efficient solution for a project.
We base all of our systems around the same principles of speed, efficiency and usability. Our systems are built around the .NET Framework (v1.1 or 2.0). Dedicated SQL Server databases are used to store all necessary site data and the content management system itself interacts with the database via a custom built Datadial business logic layer. We use advanced object orientated principles in ASP.NET (VB.NET) to map data from the database into bespoke objects that handle all of the domain logic for a website.
The front end usability of the content management systems is built around a series of advanced user controls that we use to enable the user to perform their admin tasks as quickly and efficiently as possible. Tree views, modal dialogs, grids and tabbed windows are some of the display functions that allow the user to access management screens with ease.
In particular Datadial's custom built modal dialogs have been at the forefront of innovation for many years before they were introduced into other content management systems. Modal dialogs enable the user to work on one screen at a time, while keeping previous screens ready to go back to in the background, thus preventing circular clicking behaviour where the user finds they have to keep performing the same series of clicks to return to a screen they were just on.
While many features of our content management systems are re-used for different projects, we believe that no two systems should be the same. We always tackle each CMS separately and therefore offer something completely bespoke for each client based on their needs.
